Job:
20th Street Viaduct
Goedecke Team:
Draftsman: Gary Conley
Sales: Joe Blando, Anthony Blando
Problem:
City wanted 120 lineal feet. under the Viaduct filled with concrete. Area was 14′ deep and approximately 12′ tall. This situation created a one sided pour with 700 yards of concrete.
Solution:
Goedecke design team utilized our Alisply forming system for the one sided pour. Anchorage points were a back wall and concrete beam over head. 1/2 coil rod sufficed as the ties. Mega drilled 7″ diameter holes in the sidewalk above to discharge the concrete to fill the cavity below
Outcome:
Pour pressures were critical. Mega took approximately 7 hours to pour. Forms did not budge and it turned out perfect.
